Worth it! One DayTrip from Pattaya to Angkor Wat/Siem Reip and Return! I'm always a little weary of paying a deposit for a tour without the use of a credit card. But with all the great reviews, I gave it a chance, and I'm glad I did! Sophoan was our guide for our 1 day day tour of Angkor Wat and Siem Reip. Our group of 4 were picked up at a home address in Pattaya at around 2:30 am in a private van and headed to the border at Poi Pet. We were met by a guide to take us through the border process, and then handed over to another driver to take us to Angkor Wat. There we met Sophoan and he took us on a detailed trip of Angkor Wat. One nice touch is that he has his own, personal stories of living through the "killing fields" era and can tell you about his experience as a young boy in the work camps. Very interesting. With a one day trip, we didn't have too much time to spend in Siem Reip. If I did it again, I might try an over night trip as the driving time can be lengthy for one day, and I would like to spend more time in Siem Reip. Additionally, Thai immigration is trying to crack down on one day trips due to people abusing the 30 day visa by just crossing the border, and they gave us a little hassle when crossing back into Thailand. Never the less, as a one day cultural trip it was definitely worth it!

Bangkok to Siem Reap/Angkor Wat and back!
I have intended to visit Angkor Wat since I started planning my trip to South East Asia mid-2017, but did not book a tour until I fot to Bangkok.
I had however read about what tours are recommended and chose this particular one for its excellent reviews, with which I wholeheartedly agree. I took this day trip with my brother, leaving my son and the two wifes by the pool in Bangkok...
The trip was absolutely worth it. Mr. Sophoan operates a well oiled machine for this tour:
- he responded very quickly to my emails where I was asking for availability and other details;
- he had a Thai driver, a border crossing facilitator, and a Cambodian driver waiting for us without delay;
- he took us on the day tour (about 7 hours in Angkor/Siem Reap including breakfast and late lunch;
- as a National guide, he had detailed answers to all of our Angkor-related questions;
- payment of the deposit and balance was clear cut, without any surprises.
So very happy with the amazing experience with the main 4-5 temples in Angkor and Mr. Sophoan’s services.
As for the van/SUV ride (we were a small group that day), it is tiring, as it took us about 5.5 hours on the way in and 6.5 hours back to our hotel. The road in Cambodia is a far cry from the quality of the Thai roads and driving in Cambodia is pretty chaotic, but you just have to go with it. Note that it appears that one cannot fly in and out of Cambodia the same day, but that restriction does not apply to car travel. Enjoy!

Bangkok to Siem Reap and Back!
My husband and I did the two day tour of Angkor Wat from Bangkok. We were picked up at out hotel in Bangkok at 5am. We slept all the way to the border, and were helped through immigration on both sides. The process went smoothly in both directions. We very much enjoyed visiting Angkor Wat. We had Sophan Rath as our guide and he was just perfect. So knowledgeable, and explained the history and meaning of all the places we visited. Angkor Wat was on our "bucket list" and we were not disappointed; it is an incredible place to see and experience. I would highly recommend this tour and Mr Sophan Rath. This was a wonderful experience!

Cambodia Travel Day Tours has the best transportation and best service of anyone in Phonm Penh. Great for couples all the way up to large groups. These guys are great.

Fantastic day viewing the temples!
Poan organized the most perfect tour of the temples. He lead us through a variety of sights and his depth of knowledge was phenomenal. He was able to explain general history of the people and structures as well as go into great detail of anything we wanted to know more about. A gentle, kind, brilliant guide. I would highly recommend Poan to anyone wanting to see and learn about this area.

Wonderful experience!
Thank you Sophoan for organizing a short trip so very well covering most of the places for us. we enjoyed thoroughly every moment of the trip. Hope to come again. this tour made us so comfortable in traveling from pattaya to siem reap and back to Bangkok even though it was by road. Overall wonderful and memorable experience.
