Tour Guide Extraordinaire!

We visited Siem Reap in November. If you want to spend hours and hours reviewing competitor reviews - you can waste the time like I did! I spent hours and hours prior to our visit reading through various tour guide/service reviews on Trip Advisor. After reading numerous competitor reviews I decided that I would be booking our tours through Sophoan Rath - this choice was decided through reading the countless excellent reviews on Sophoan on trip advisor and also being aware this company is a nationally accredited service. Having never travelled to Cambodia I wanted a tour service that was helpful, knowledgeable, safe and reliable. We are so pleased that we booked our tours through Sophoan. He provided everything that we wanted and more! Sophoan was prompt with answering all my questions via phone and email and has excellent English skills which was helpful as we spoke no Khmer. There is no words to explain the excellence in customer service we received from Sophoan, he started as being our tour guide and ended as a friend. Sophoan arrived at our motel early in a comfortable late model SUV, air conditioning (which is a must!) and a lovely driver. We found Sophoan to be extremely knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful country and is willing to share his own experiences and knowledge with you.

Sophoan went above and beyond!! He helped us with organising our trip, was always assisting with opening and closing doors, providing bottles of cold water to even checking if the ladies toilet was ok to use and providing toilet paper if necessary - these are all small things however in a foreign country he made us feel so comfortable and safe. We toured the local temples, had an all day tour to Preah Vihear (which I highly recommend) and a tour of the floating village. Sophoan knew we were very interested in learning more about the Khmer culture and even arranged for us to visit a local school as we had bought with us pencils and stickers as gifts to the school. We cannot speak highly enough of Sophoan and we are so grateful for all his help and for allowing us to experience and visit his beautiful country. Sophoan made us feel like family and we have already booked another trip back to Camobodia in 2018 and we can't wait to catch up with our dear friend. Thank you for everything Sophoan xx

An amazing 3 days in Cambodia

We had a 3 day guided tour with Sophoan. Everything went smoothly with Sophoan and the drivers. He was very attentive and knowledgable. Not only were the sites amazing but he gave us a great insight into life in Cambodia.

Outstanding Tour of Angkor Wat! We booked a 1 day tour from BKK to Angkor Wat with Mr. Sophoan Rath. The tour was AMAZING! our guide, Mr. Kim and our driver were outstanding!!! I cannot say enough great things about our experience from the border crossing to the tour and back to BKK. My husband and I are already taking about a return trip, to spend several days touring more of the historical site. Mr. Kim was so knowledgeable about the history and made excellent suggestions on which sites to visit when, based on visitor patterns, which meant we were a head of the crowds with short to no waits for access to capacity restricted areas. It was wonderful.I would highly recommend Mr. Sophoan Rath and his outstanding team! You won't be disappointed!

Extremely informative and interesting tour!

We were so impressed with Sophoan's tour. He was such a kind and helpful gentleman and made the experience very special. The whole trip was very well organised and everything ran smoothly. He also helped find accommodation for us. The tour around Angkor Watt was incredible and he shared with us an great depth of knowledge. We visited the floating village, saw a sunset and he took us around the markets - great memories we shall never forget. We can't recommend his tour company enough!

Angkor Wat , Cambodia

We have taken 2 days 1 night tour to Angkor Wat,Cambodia in October 2018. The national English speaking guide "Sophoan Rath" is very qualified and helpful person .My mom accidentally lost her bag at very crowded area of Angkor Wat and he could manage to get back by help of Cambodia tourist police shortly.(Luckily everything still inside her bag, passport and money).He takes care our family throughout his tour service.We ate the delicious local food. We have had satisfied and superb experiences with this trip. I would really recommended his tour service.

This was the most fantastic tour!

I am so happy I found this company and they were so easy to communicate with and plan. We arranged for a pick up (I had a private tour so decided on pick up at 6am) in Bangkok at a private address which worked just fine. The driver on the Thailand side was not very chatty and the van so so but it got a lot better when crossing over to Cambodia. The border crossing was very smooth and the person helping me was very friendly. The driver on the Cambodia side was very kind despite limited English it worked just fine, and the car was super comfortable, just wonderful. The tour it self and guide were just fab, it's been a long time since I enjoyed a tour more. I stayed overnight which I can recommend as the drive is long. And to see Angkor at sunrise is amazing. I can only say 5 stars for this tour company. THANK YOU!
