Amazing One Day Tour of Cambodia!!!

I had reached out to Sophoan back in December regarding the one-day tour of Cambodia from Bangkok. I was immediately impressed by his prompt and thorough responses. I was traveling with my mother and she expressed concern about the trip but upon booking the tour, Sophoan provided us with a detailed itinerary which helped put me at ease. A few days prior to our visit, Sophoan sent us a detailed email with the people who would be involved with transporting us from Bangkok through the Poipet border and onwards to Siem Reap. He even included the license plate number of the car that would be picking us up! I had read some negative things online about the entry process at the border but Sophoan had people arranged to guide us through every step of the way. It couldn't have been more seamless. We arrived to our hotel late in the evening but Sophoan was there to greet us. After meeting him in person, I knew we were in good hands. His kind demeanor and knowledge of Cambodia and the surrounding area was moving, and I felt so lucky to have him as my guide. If you are considering a tour with him and his company, please do not hesitate in booking with him. He will take great care of you! His tours are customizable depending on what you want to gain out of your trip, and you will leave with a greater appreciation for the country and its people. I truly felt like one day was too short, but am so grateful for the experience.

Prek Toal Nature reserve and Floating Village

We went for the one day guided tour of Prek Toal nature reserve and a floating village near to the reserve, the experience was fantastic. Mr Sophoan Rath took great care in looking after us on the excursion and was very informative as well as genuinely friendly. The ranger that took us on the boat around the nature reserve was obviously very well attuned to the area and it’s flora and fauna. My partner is a keen birder, myself not so much, BUT I really enjoyed the trip and getting to see so many tropical species was quite special. The floating village tour was eye opening. After lunch, we were taken around the village by paddle boat (optional & life jackets provided) and although (more due to our combined weight than anything else!) capsize seemed imminent at every wave caused by power boats, the lady that rowed us around did an amazing job, and it really gave an insight to how skilled in and around the water the people living on the floating village are. 100% would recommend the experience if you are in the area visiting the temple complexes of Angkor Wat. For those interested in the natural beauty of Cambodia this is a trip worth making in itself.

A Superb Day of Wildlife and Culture - Highly Recommended!

We booked a one day tour for two people of Prek Toal and had a wonderful day. Our visit to the Nature Reserve got us stunning views of vast numbers of rare birds including three species of stork, pelicans, oriental darter, ibis, two species of eagle, two species of kingfisher and at least 10 heron species. The quantity and scale of the bird seen is probably the closest thing to a real life Jurassic Park you can get! After we finished with the birds we had a lovely lunch at a cafe in the floating village, followed by a paddleboat tour. Our guide Sophoan Rath, was excellent; very friendly and knowledgeable and clearly had a lot of experience of the area. Throughout the day he not only arranged the trip logistically, but at various points throughout the day also drove, acted as translator, spotted and identified birds and even helped row a paddle boat at one point. We cannot recommend him enough!

Friends & Family Trip to Siem Reap!

We had a fantastic day visiting the temples! Our guide Mr Kim was very informative & great fun! Thank you for a great sightseeing day! You were recommended to us & we would highly recommend you to friends & family.

Wonderful two day trip with Sophoan!

Bangkok to Angkor Wat and back private day trip.

We were looking for an easy one/two day trip to Cambodia to visit Angkor Wat from Bangkok, to give us a memorable first few days of holiday. Trip Advisor reviews of Cambodia Travel Trails after a quick Google gave gave us the courage to book! Booking with Sophoan was easy and fuss free, quick replies and confirmation of money received gave us faith that the trip would continue as planned.

We were picked up on time from our hotel and taken to the boarder. We slept most of the way and were given a break at just the right moment! The boarder crossing was easy and we were in good hands with Sophoans staff, and were met with our Cambodian driver on the other side. Again, a few hours in we took a break and then carried on to pick up Sophoan in Siam Reap, then onto the Angkor Wat ticket centre to pick up our tourist passes. We arrived at Angkor Wat and had breakfast (at our own cost, but very cheap and very tasty, I had soup and my girlfriend had pancakes). Then Sophoan took us into Angkor Wat.

Sophoan was friendly, courteous, trustworthy, interesting, obliging and incredibly knowledgeable. Nothing was too much hassle, and our day was one of the smoothest we had on our whole 3 week holiday.

I could continue to describe the whole day, but I wouldn't want to ruin it. But trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Our only suggestion would be to request a hotel in Siam Reap rather than Poipet when booking, it means an earlier departure but is worth it for a few hours in Siam Reap. Plenty of places to eat and relax with a beer.

We cannot thank Sophoan and his team enough for ensuring that our holiday was off to a wonderful start and can't wait to visit again, for longer. I hope we get to see you again someday!

Personalised tour that exceeded our high expectations!

We had visited Siem Reap before using Sophoan's firm. This time we asked for a personalised tour of Cambodia covering Phnom Penh, Battambang and our favourites in Angkor and beyond. Sophoan's descriptions in Phnom Penh will stay with us for life and his personal experiences made it all very real. We had a very specific tour of Angkor, but he breathed new life into our personal favourites and was knowledgeable about the new locations too - Beng Melea is definitely worth the trip! We had a great time and Sophoan definitely played his part in that. We could not recommend him highly enough.
