Excellent tour with Dara who got just the right balance of providing detailed information but kept the pace of the tour suitable. Helped taking photos in all the best spots ! Thank you
I went on a trip organised by Cambodia Travel Trails - Phnom Penh to Angkor Wat and back (2d/1n). The service was excellent - in particular I would like to recommend my guide Lysang who provided an in depth review of the history of Angkor Wat which made the experience more enjoyable and thought provoking. He was an excellent guide.
Kim was amazing tour in Siem Reap of Angkor Wat temple and all temple so very beautiful
The Angkor Thom was truly beautiful fact in heart
Ta Phnom beautiful tree temple
I would like recommend this trip in Cambodia
We took a 2 day trip from Bangkok to Angkor Wat in Cambodia and it was a very good experience. Our tour guide Kim was very friendly and reliable. Highly recommend

Kim was an excelent guide. We had a great time.
All best temple in Cambodia like Angkor Wat angkor tour surprise sunrises in side Wat. Angkor Thom was amazing ( Bayon, Royal palace and Ta Prohm temple.
I would recommended tours.
Amazing trip to Angkor Wat. It well organised considering we were visiting from Bangkok for the day. Dara was a fantastic tour guide - he was very knowledgeable and took some of the best photos of us we’ve ever had! He also made sure we saw a good amount of the temples. Would definitely recommend.
Wir hatten einen tollen Tag in Siam Reap und Angkor Wat. Unser Guide Ly Sang hatte immer nützliche Informationen für uns und wir konnten die Tour individuell ausgestalten..
Translated in to English
"Great day in Angkor Wat"
We had a great day in Siam Reap and Angkor Wat. Our guide Ly Sang always had useful information for us and we were able to design the tour individually.
Excellently organised trip from Bangkok to wonderful Siem Reap/Angkor Wat
We were looking for a day trip to Angkor Wat from Bangkok and discovered this highly rated travel agency on Tripadvisor. The reviews were from this current month going back ten years. I can endorse the glowing views of other travellers. The trip was well organised and we were escorted all the way. Whilst you could do self this was much easier as it removed all the hassle of planning with no additional research required.
Great communication from Sophoan Rath from my initial enquiry he answered my questions fully and quickly, gave detailed info on what was included and any additional expenses and border crossing costs and kept us informed of drivers. Flexible and accommodating: we left Bangkok at lunchtime, overnight in Siem Reap, sunrise Angkor Wat and arrived back Bangkok around 8pm next day.
Homewood Hotel in Siem reap is new, very clean, good a/c and if anything better than the photos. Also very close to river, Pub Street and markets. Siem Reap a mix of traditional, with local street food along the pretty riverside, and some sophisticated restaurants with laid back international almost hipster/club vibe.
Our guide at Angkor was the lovely Kim Saphatt who introduced himself on our arrival at the hotel and picked us up at 5am to see sunrise at Angkor Wat. Kim is professional, knowledgeable (including best spots for photos and expert on pano shots), courteous and with a great sense of fun. I loved that he is still in awe of Angkor Wat and was taking photos for himself.
Angkor Wat is spectacular and well worth the visiting. We were driven around and picked up in air con car by Chhon (Kim called ahead so we did not have to wait in the heat and cold water provided) but there is a lot of walking within compounds. Angkor Thom City is the largest and includes Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Gate of the Dead, Terrace of Elephants but most of walking between temples and palace was in woods with shade and we had these places almost to ourselves. Ta Prohm (also know as Tomb Raider location) was busiest but can see why with the photogenic mix of temple and trees and roots descending over the ruins. Walked 17000 steps in six hours. In addition to the archaeological sites there was also lots of wildlife – including butterflies, monkeys and water buffalo.
After six hours in Angkor Wat (picnic breakfast at local café provided by the hotel) went to Khmer Derm restaurant for lunch. Very well priced, good food and best Chicken Satay I have ever had. There was more on the itinerary for the afternoon but I was tired by then and so we headed for border earlier as trip was flexible.
It is a long drive between Bangkok and Siem Reap and would be quicker by air bit I liked the ease of being driven door to door, seeing the country and supporting local people and business. The drivers were good, rest stop amenities clean and ride comfortable but little bit bumpy.
In Siem Reap I can highly recommend Amok by Chef Kimsan on corner of Pub Street for great authentic Cambodian dishes and charming ambience and staff. And The Muffin Man for cakes.
I wanna give a big big thank you to our tour guide Kim. It was an amazing adventure and we learned so much. Our driver always picked us up on time, and he was always trying to ensure that we didn't have to wait. He was always concentrated on the road. We were three teens on the tour, and our tour guide Kim was really really patient with us. Even when we sometimes didn't pay as much as attention, he was never annoyed of telling us a couple times. He explained so much about History and for us tennis it was easy to understand.
But the things he told never bored us. We could always ask him the stupidest questions and he always answered with a laugh. We really loved how he always motivated us to se the temples. He always told us that we are climbing the stairs to heaven and he always told a funny joke. At every person we walked by he was open to speak to them. He was really concerned that we are fine all the time and that we have a great stay. We definitely had that. It was such an amazing adventure with him. We had a great time and always something to laugh. Thanks to Kim and Path

It was a very nice Trip. The border crossing was very well organised and we were accompanied across the border all the time. The driver Phat always picked us up and we never had to wait. There was enough water to drink in the mini van. The organiser Sohphan was available 24/7 for our questions. Our guide Kim was very very friendly and funny. He accompanied us well and always found a very good mixture between accompanying and sometimes leaving us alone. Kim told us a lot about the culture and history, so we could learn a lot. He has adapted very well to our needs, also specifically for us teenagers. We liked his personality and his laughter.
I did a one-day tour from Bangkok to Angkor Wat. It is a very long day, but if you don’t have much time (like me) it is an excellent way to see one of Asia’s most incredible historical sites. This travel company is EXCELLENT. Mr Sophoan’s communications and organisation are incredible. They make travelling through a hectic land border very easy. The drivers on both sides are great. And I was lucky enough to have Mr Kim as the guide in Angkor Wat/Siem Reap. He was SUPERB. Very knowledgable, friendly and funny. I had a fantastic day. Thankyou all.
This was a magical trip. The organisation's was easy, the transport was comfortable, the drivers where great. I think our guide Kim was the best in Siem Reap, all the temples we visited where spectacular. Overall I cannot recommend this enough.
A phenomenal trip from start to finish. We were very well looked after by the drivers, border crossing helpers and the tour guide, making it such an easy and stress free experience. A special thank you to Lysang, who was extremely knowledgeable about Angkor watt and the surrounding temples. He went above and beyond to really looked after us! A truly amazing trip that we will never forget!
This tour company is awesome. Every part of the experience has been first class. Booking, pickup in Thailand, boarder crossing, hotel, tour guide Mr Kim was fantastic, driver in Siem Reap was great. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking at visiting Cambodia.
Was a great trip! Very helpful people, from my tour guide Mr Kim, the drivers who got me to the destination and the Hotel Homewood for great accommodations.
Fantastic trip with this company and menories for a lifetime. In four days we have sees nine temples and seen the sacred waterfall. Our guide Kim and driver Moy are very serviceminded, friendly and knowledgeable. They have taken so good care of us from the doorstep of our hotel in Bangkok, across the border to Cambodia, to the hotel in Siem Reap and back. Thank you.
Ly Sang and the driver were amazing hosts during our tour of Angkor Wat. Ly Sang was very informative and kept us engaged with a lot of information about Cambodia. We really enjoyed our trip and can not recommend him enough. Thank you!
My tour guide Mr Kim and Mr Mouy did a wonderful job touring me around Angkor Wat. The experience of going around Sirm Reap and inside the temples would not have been possible without them. They were punctual and very organized.i stayed st the Homewood Suites. Staff were friendly and the place was nice and clean! Aldo thanks to their manager Sophoan who helped me from the beginning!
We had an amazing trip at Angkor Wat. Despite the really hot weather our guide Mr Kim and our driver Mr Moe were full of energy and love for what they are doing. Enjoyed every single moment of it. Thank you
Our time here was amazing. Who knew there were so many temples to see. We spent time in many of them over 3 days and also have memories from the new years celebrations. The final day we attended a festival and got to play a traditional game and try a lot of the local BBQ. Our guide Kim was always ready to take our photo and brought us to several nice places to get a better view.
We did Tour BA2- Bangkok to Angkor Wat and Back 2 Days /1 Night. My communication with Mr. Sophoan Rath was excellent and the tour ran like clockwork. He provided helpful info on getting the necessary eVisa and our pickups and transfers to and from Cambodia were easy enough. We were fortunate not to encounter long lines even though it was around Chinese New Year. Zero line on the return
Our guide Kim Saphatt was extremely knowledgeable, providing lots of ibfo about the temples.
A few minor hiccups - the crowds during Chinese New Year created a big traffic jam plus this was a Sunday, so we could not get up the hill to see the sunset. Stuff happens and we just roll with it.
Also there were some things listed on day 2 itinerary that we didn't get to, but to be honest we were quite done by the time we stopped. This allowed us to head to the border a bit earlier. Also, we were heading to the cruise port which is 2+hours from the city of Bangkok and it was no problem arranging this to be the drop off point instead of in Bangkok.
Recommend this tour and company.
Just for reference, our cruise had a tour using flights (think of airport hassles and big group tour - we just got to relax on the drive) that stayed an extra night just for a local cultural show and it was $2000 per person! Enough said.
This company was unknown to us, but had great reviews. We were a three person group with a limited amount of time wanting to visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia. We were picked up at our hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, then driven to the Thai/ Cambodian border where we were met by a company representative who explained the exit process into Cambodia. We were escorted to the Thai border control, and then onto Cambodian immigration where we were met by another rep who helped us with the process of entering Cambodia then to a waiting vehicle for our trip to Angkor Wat.
On arriving at Angkor Wat we were introduced to Lysang , our guide for the day. His expertise of the temples and his ability to navigate the area, allow us to make the most of our day.
After our visit, we were again escorted by waiting vehicle to the Cambodian border where we were met again by a representative who saw us through the exit of Cambodia and return to Thailand. We were chauffeured back to our hotel in Bangkok.
At no time on our trip where we left alone or in any awkward situations. Felt safe and secure throughout our visit. Bravo to Cambodia, Travel Trails, and all it’s representatives who made this an experience of a lifetime.
One day Angkor Wat from Bankok to Siem Reap - 5+ star rating
This was the most amazing safe and secure adventure! We were a group of three.
Cambodia Travel trails had people meet us at every step and took photos with each guide which were sent on to the next step. We were handled safely and securely. This included the hotel pick up, Thailand exit border crossing, Cambodia immigration guide, transferred to a driver who took us to Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) where we met our amazing guide Lysang and our driver for the tour of the 3 temples.
Then reverse the process for the return. Every step was seamless.
We had enough time and attention to enjoy an educational, fact-filled, personalized astonishing day. I can't say enough great things about this tour group!
The day was long (20 hours door to door in Bangkok) but with private beautiful luxury vehicles on either end we napped so no sleep lost. Bring a few snacks - water provided by the tour company.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cambodia Travel Trails!!!!
We had a private tour of Angkor Wat. The driver was very polite and always on time. His vehicle was well air conditioned which was important since it was so hot and my husband was unable to tolerate the heat.
Our guie, Smurn was excellent. His English is very good and the depth of his knowledge was admirable. We learned things that gave us a lot of insight into Cambodia that is often not heard in the US. Also he was careful about our endurance in the heat so neither of us got sick. It was a very enjoyable day even though it was so hot. Smurm and driver deserve our commendation.
Amazing day!! Visited so many temples, saw monkeys and honestly had a blast with Kim and Chon. Orkunthomtom makamplus (I tried all day to remember that phrase which means thank you)
We were picked up at 05:00 in Ayutthaya and taken by car to the border. Everything went smoothly and we completed our transfer to Siem Reap. Throughout the four days trip, everything went smoothly, and our driver and guide were absolutely excellent. We thoroughly recommend Mr Kim, oh guide, and Mr Moi, our driver, and Mr Sophoan, the tour organiser. 11/10!
Everyone was great from start to finish and we greatly appreciated all the logistical communications in the lead up to our trip and handoffs to make sure we could travel to Cambodia from Bangkok to see Angkor Wat.
Special shout out to Kim, our guide, who answered all our questions, pointed out good spots for photos, made sure we could get gifts from Cambodia made by Cambodians and recommending dishes to try for our late lunch.
And a second shout out to Sam who picked us up on the Cambodia side, drove us throughout the day while making sure we had plenty of (cold) water as we enjoyed the history of the temples and for going above and beyond to get us to the border crossing after traffic came to an absolute standstill and didn’t look to be moving anytime soon.
If you are looking for a company to use for travel within Cambodia highly recommend.
Thanks very much Travel Trails for the wonderful trips. Everything has been perfect from our departure from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Our driver in Siem Riep Mui was perfect and Kim our tour guide was amazing he makes our stay wonderful and he is fantastic. Angkor Wat is a dream and all other temples are amazing. We visited koh ker, the pyramid temple and Beng Malea, the temple in the jungle and this was amazing! We spent half day in the floating village in the lake Tonle Sap and the sunset there was amazing. Everything has been perfect and the hotel Mony Reach Angkor Hotel is perfect very clean and the location is 10/10. Everything has been perfect.
We booked the 2 day 1 night tour to Cambodia Angkor wat from bangkok. Very nice tour. Our tour guide Mr guide Kim was amazing! So fun and helpful. Took great WOW photos with attention to detail. Went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic trip. Our driver Khim was also amazing very nice and friendly, made us feel so comfortable. Will most definitely recommend them to everyone. Had a fabulous time. They made it very fun and memorable. Had lots of laughs. Both speak very good English so will have no communication barrier. The whole process was very easy from booking the tour and receiving a very detailed itinerary which was flexible. Sunrise and sunset was beautiful definitely a must see. 11/10
We’ve spent 4 days in Siem Reap with family and friends. Our whole travel from Bangkok to Siem Reap and back was super organized.
Special thanks to our guide Kim and our chauffeur, they gave us a lot of information about the ancient and current Cambodia, not to mention their flexibility and their understanding when we had to re-organize our trip, since 3 out of 5 of us gor sick.
Also huge plus point: Kim knows the best photo spots without having many tourists there
Kim was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the temples in Siem Reap, and knew all of the best spots for pictures. This was a great tour that I couldn’t recommend enough!
Outstanding arrangements for an enchanting trip from Thailand to Cambodia
This was one of the best organized trips I have ever been on. Just a day before scheduled travel, I contacted Sophoan Rath for details of the one day tour from Thailand to Cambodia and he sent me the schedule. Once I made the deposit, in a short while he sent me a detailed itinerary containing everything in one place. I was amazed by the amount of detailing, such as driver details, photos of the driver and vehicle etc. Based on my request he also added a site in the itinerary. What surprised me the most was his availability throughout the trip. I texted him on WhatsApp at 3 in the morning for some queries and voila! The response came in minutes. The most satisfactory part was that everything in the trip was arranged like clockwork. We dint have to wait a minute for anything, be it the vehicle, tour guide, guide for border crossing etc. And above all updates for every stage was posted by sophoan on WhatsApp. Mr Kim who was also co-ordinating was helpful in arranging for documents for visa etc.
Overall, this is one of the best tourist agencies I have come across and anyone wanting to visit Cambodia from Thailand just choose your package, make the payment and leave the rest to the agency with your eyes closed. You will be well taken care of and enjoy your trip to the fullest.
OMG. This was an amzing organization. I booked the tour for 2 of my customers from Pattaya and everything was running like a ckockwork!
From the very first mement the communication was absolutely pERFECT and my customers and me felt well informed at all times. And even during the tour -which they did without me- I always got detailled infrmation via e-mail about where they where and when I could expect them back!
5 stars is not enough and I sure did many bookings in Thailand and SEA, but this one seemed like scheduled by a German manager!!!
WOW!!!!
Excellent and well organized trip, was great seeing the sunrise on Angkor wat. The tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and friendly, definitely would recommend.

Exceptional tour right from the Laem Chabang cruise ship terminal to Siam Reap and back. Everything was streamlined. Our tour guide Kim, was a wealth of information, knew all the right places to take us to, at the right time, with the best photo clicks and most importantly with the warmest hospitality and service! For the limited time that we had, this tour went far and beyond!
Service with a happy smile.
Also prompt email and whatsapp messages. Correct and ontime border crossing information. Neat and clean cars with knowledgable and friendly driver. Everything top notch. Thank you so much for making this trip so memorable and so amazing! We will be back!
I can only say that the whole experience was fantastic. We are backpacking through Southeast Asia and wanted to get to Siem Reap from Bangkok via land to avoid flying, the journey was great from booking to completion, excellent communication and even better tours.
Our guide Kim Saphatt was amazing, such a good photographer which impressed me!
Lekh was very helpful and thorough as a tour guide. The driver also was very sweet and thoughtful. Cambodians are very hospitable. Would recommend this tour.
Excellent group from start to finish, seamless accommodations. Kim is an excellent guide, highly recommended so make sure to try and get him. We will definitely use this team when we come back. 5 stars!

We had a very enjoyable time visiting Siem Reap and the temples at Angkor Wat. Our tour guide Sophan is highly recommended. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and is an exceptional guide. Thank you Sophan for making our trip to Cambodia a great experience!
Mr. Kim was an awesome guide! He was very thorough on explaining each site and the history of the Angkor empire. He was very patient being my guide and accommodating to all of my needs including being my camera man. Angkor temples requires a lot of trekking and he made sure I was well hydrated! He knew all the ways to navigate to avoid the large crowds! Highly recommend this tour if you want hassle free guidance!
Highly, highly recommended! We did the private Bangkok to Angkor Wat tour (with one night in Siem Reap) with Mr Sophoan team and were very happy we chose this company. Everything was smooth and all people, guides, drivers were excellent, smiling and it was pleasure to be with them. Before the trip, I received all necessary details from Mr Sophoan via WhatsApp and everything was well prepared so we knew exactly what to, where to go, how the cars and drivers look like. Mr Kim showed us Siem Reap with all its markets and Pub Street, and Mr Chuop was an excellent guide and talked a lot about temples in Angkor Wat. When we come back to Cambodia we will definitely choose this company again!
We had 4 days trip with guide Kim and driver. Excellent experience, a lot of interesting objects. We asked to change our traveling agenda ant it was made without loss of objects. Kim was answering all questions in understandable English.
Information to other tourists:
There are a lot of temples. If you are not going to listen to guide it can be boring so many temples, but there are some interesting different things and facts.
Prasat Beng Mealea we ordered extra - it was not so different like we expected.
Also, prices in Cambodia are not so cheap as we expected. The only cheap thing is alcohol.
Meals are not spicy (hot) at all.
Thanks to guide Kim and company, took us in Bangkok and returned by comfortable Van's
I recommend the Tours to everybody . Good organization!
Briliant organization! The preparation of the travell was excellent, they informed me about everything on advance via Whatsapp. The time management was perfect, it was necessary because the time schedule was tight. Our guide Kim is a funny, he showed us the best places, best positions to do pictures. We got always water ( heat and Sun today!! )
The travel to Siem Reap was also good. The driver was really good, even so the traffic is not easy in Cambodia :)
I recommend them to everybody if you want a well organized tour :)
We had 4 amazing days in Cambodia (Tour name: Bangkok to Angkor Wat and Back Tour 4d3n). Our guide Kim Saphatt and driver Khin were very friendly, helpful and we had very good fun during all trip.
The tour is great! Get to see everything and at a good pace. We had a private tour as a family of 4. Our guide Kim was super friendly and informative. He also added and adjusted the itinerary for our needs. He is also great at taking pictures!
Did not disappoint and totally recommend :)
I loved Angkor Wat. They are very professional, very organized, nothing is left to chance. They organize getting you through customs down to the smallest details, very good driver. Our guide at the temples very knowleadgeble
Packed two-day tour with friendly guide and great photos
My wife and i did a two-day tour of the Siem Reap area covering many temples as well as the floating village on Conle Sap lake. Our guide Kim did an amazing job of walking us through all the different temples, making sure that we saw all the different details of the craftsmanship and giving us some of the stories behind the construction of the temples, the artwork, and the history of the Khmer empire.
He was very accommodating and easy to talk to and did a particularly good job of capturing great photos of us at the different spots!
Fantastic tour. Many temples and finished with waterfall jungle walk. It was a hot day but guide and driver kept us cool and hydrated. Kim was very knowledgable about all the sights and culture of the area. He spoke good english as well.
I do strongly recommend. I have spent two days with guides and guys were great. Very open, talkative and friendly. They were open to amend standard programme to our individual preferences. We got great photos from the Ta Prohm temple and the guide showed us the best places to take them. Definitely go for it!
As we were staying in Bangkok, we decided to go to Cambodia for a day trip to visit Angkor Wat and found this company, they’re probably one of the best in the business, we had an amazing time. Everything was planned perfectly and well coordinated by Mr. Sophoan Rat who kept in contact with me through the whole booking process and after sending all the info we needed for the trip.
It was only me and my sister taking this tour and we felt perfectly safe and well looked after.
The day started really early, at 3am we got picked up from our driver in our hotel lobby and we started our long but pleasant drive to Poipet to cross the border to Cambodia. The van was so comfy and big we of course fell asleep! Ahah
We did our visa and they stamped our passport exactly like Mr. Sophoan Rat explained to us.
Once we did that, we were met by our Cambodian driver that took us for a long drive to Siem Reap and then to have breakfast in a very cute local restaurant. There we met with Kim who was supposed to be our guide but he said he was busy that day so we had another guide which unfortunately I can’t remember the name of, but he was so knowledgeable and knew all the right places to take beautiful pictures!!!
We had so much fun with him
We first saw Angkor Wat and it was everything we expect it to be, if not more. Simply impossible to explain! We listened to its fascinating story and we walked around its ground. After that we visited all the other temples in the complex.
To visit the other temple the Cambodian driver escorted us to each and everyone of them, picking us up right after we finished with the visit, he gave us so much water every time to help us recover from the long walk and hot weather!! We were really pleased with that!
Our visit finished at the local markets where we parted way with our guide and got back in the car to go back to the border.
Crossing the border for us was a bit hard but in the end we made it, make sure you bring everything and make sure you follow the instructions to get back to Thailand.
It was a very long and tiring day but 100% worth all the hassle to be able to see such sights.
100% recommend if you want to visit Angkor Wat!!!
This tour is the best way to see the temples in Siem Reap if you're in Bangkok and don't have a lot of time!
We had an amazing experience overall, even though the day was almost 24 hours all together! Everything is very well organised and managed, you get picked up from your hotel in Bangkok and driven to the border with Cambodia. After the immigration process, then someone else picks you up in Cambodia and drives you to Siem Reap where you meet your guide. Then they take you to see all the temples around Angkor Wat. Throughout the day the provide you with plenty of water to keep you hydrated as the day is very long.
Overall I can't say anything bad about this tour! Just be prepared for a very long day! The amazing sights you will see make it all worth it!
Wypad do Angkor Wat godny polecenia. Tym bardziej przy tak sprawnej obsłudze ze strony Sophoan Rath i jego ekipy. Miło, sprawnie, bezpiecznie i z mega dawką humoru. Dzięki Wam zaoszczędziliśmy co najmniej 1 dzień. Szkoda tylko, że mogliśmy być tak krótko. Choć opcje na dłuższe zwiedzanie też są możliwe. Podróż do Chong Kneah, pływającej wioski niesamowity. Zaskakujące, że ludzie w obecnych czasach nadal żyją w taki sposób. Wschód słońca w Angkor Wat zapiera dech w piersiach.
Szczerze polecam.

Unforgettable adventure at Angor Wat with Kims
A trip to Angkor Wat worth recommending. Even more so with such efficient service from Sophoan Rath and his team. Nice, efficient, safe and with a great dose of humour. Thanks to you, we saved at least 1 day. It's just a pity that we could be there for such a short time. Although options for longer tours are also possible. Journey to Chong Kneah, an amazing floating village. It's amazing that people still live like this these days. The sunrise at Angkor Wat is breathtaking. I highly recommend. If you don't want to waste your time on the spot to travel from temple to temple on your own, without knowing the topography, it's worth using the help of the guys. It was really great. Many thanks and hope to see you again at Angkor Wat sometime soon.
Polecam z całej siły. Fachowo i szybko załatwione. Kim jest super przewodnikiem. Oprowadzi wytłumaczy zrobi zdjęcie. Pokaże ciekawe miejsca i przetłumaczy jak zajdzie potrzeba. Na prawdę super.

Who is Who? :)
I recommend it wholeheartedly. Professionally and quickly handled. Kim is a great guide. He will guide the interpreter and take a photo. He will show interesting places and translate if necessary. Really great.
Kim (tour guide) and Khin (driver) we absolutely amazing for our stay. Highly recommend. They were flexible, knew everything, showed us a great alternative for when the kids got templed out, with a boat ride sunset. Magical experience, highly recommend.
We would like to thank Mr Kim and the driver for a wonderful excursion to Angkor War, it was very informative and the guide was extremely helpful! We will certainly recommend this company to our friends!
Best trip in South East Asia! It was an amazing tour in Cambodia with an awesome crew: Khin our very best driver and Kim the tour guide ever! Fantastic experience, lots of fun and laughs, learning all the time about the history of this incredible country! Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm… Must go!
A cidade tem muito a oferecer e tivemos um guia espetacular! Kim e o motorista nos acompanharam e foram fundamentais pra nossa experiência ser incrível.
English translation below:
The city has a lot to offer and we had a spectacular guide! Kim and the driver accompanied us and were instrumental in making our experience incredible.
Mr. Sophoan did an excellent job organizing our entire trip from Bangkok to Siem Reap. He was very informative, guided us through the entire process and truly made it a seamless experience for us. Once in Cambodia, Mr. Kim, our tour guide was so informative and showed us around, suggested delicious restaurants and helped us to get to know the each location, more about the Cambodian people and lifestyle. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and we would definitely recommend this tour. We are a family of 5 with a 7 year old son (sweet Mr. Kim answered all of his questions), and 2 teenage daughters and we all had a wonderful experience.
We were on a road trip from Thailand to Cambodia.
This tour company provided the car for Thailand and Cambodia both and all the cars were excellent.
The drivers were helpful.
The tour guide was punctual and also was happy to help all the time .
Crossing the border was problematic for the foreigners but that was negligible.
Overall we will recommend the tour company and tour GUIDE .
Great experience. It was best of the best. Throughout we have been assisted and all went on smoothly. We had a great time and would definitely recommend others.
We had a fabulous experience in Siem Reap. We are a family of 4, including two young children. We took the 3 night, 4 day tour. A driver picked us up in our hotel in Bangkok and drove us to Siem Reap (a total of 7-8 hours door to door). The van was comfortable and we had assistance from the tour crossing the border. No issues at all. Mr. Kim, our tour guide, welcomed us warmly in our hotel. For the next 4 days we had an incredible time visiting Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and other great places in the Seam Reap vicinity. Mr. Kim was very patient with us and our children and always tried to make our experience unforgettable. We definitely recommend this tour operator and if we come again, we would arrange our tour with them. Our driver, Kim, drove safely and was also very helpful. Thank you for this great experience!
We had an incredible experience in Cambodia. We highly recommend Cambodia Travel Trails. The best service! I traveled with my husband and 2 kids. We took the 4 days tour from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Our tour guide Kim always super friendly, he explained everything. Highly recommended! Thank you Cambodia Travel Trails for making our trip in Cambodia unforgettable!
We booked a 5d/4n tour from Bangkok to Siem Reap. It was a great tour and everything was extremely well organized. The trip by car was very comfortable and we were welk assisted at the border in poi pet. After crossing the border our cambodian driver was waiting for us and we had a great tour with a wonderful guide, mr. Kim. He was very experienced and very friendly. We can certainly recommend this tour! Olivia & Bruno from Belgium
Amazing views over the rainforest and fascinating temples
Chauffeur and guide took us on a five day trip from Poipet border to Siem Raep, Angkor Wat, Kok Ker and Tonlé Sap. It was a great experience seeing the largest temple complex of this world and the surrounding places this way. Comfortable and well organized. Adjustments in the program on our request were easily made.
We would definitely recommend booking this trip if you want to make sure that, despite limited time, you see the most interesting places in Angkor and use your time most efficiently. The tour is extremely well organized and the guide is the nicest in the world. We felt taken care of and amused all the time, and feel most grateful for this experience!
Kim was excellent! Very informative and took excellent care of us during our tour. He even made sure we had umbrellas during a brief rainstorm. Highly recommend Kim and the tour.
It was great opportunity to do a Cambodia Angkor Wat 2nights 3 days tour while we were staying in Bangkok.
It was a last minute booking but it was stress free. We were so pleased to book with this tour company as the tour was well organized and we were well looked after.
On the 1st day, we were picked up at 5am in Bangkok city and arrived around lunch time and then had sightseeing at Angkorwat.
On the 2nd day, we had a look at Angkor Tom etc including sunset.
Then on the last day, we went to the floating village which was totally different from the Floating market in Bangkok.
We were so grateful to be looked after well by a tour guide Mr Kim, a driver Mr Vanna and other staff. Without them, we couldn’t make this trip as there are so many places to look at .
Mr Kim was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and Mr. Vanna was also friendly and great driver.
We highly recommend anyone to take this tour. They will look after you for everything.
Thank you so much for an amazing tour experience!!
While planning a round trip in Thailand, thought that why not visit Angkor Wat as well. Found this tour and saw the good reviews, so contacted them via Email with my wishes. Got a quick respons and they said that all can be organized as I asked. The Email communication with mr. Sophoan was spot on and the local guide mr. Kim was amazing. Thank you very much for the pleasant time in Cambodia.
I booked onto a day Tour of Ankor Wat and several other temples (BA2). A great experience, which I would definitely recommend. Booking with Sophoan was very quick and easy at short notice. . I booked at 11pm and he arranged pick up at 3am the next morning! The guide Kim was clear and comprehensive. The drivers were very reliable and exactly on time.
The outstanding sites don’t need any further hype from me. If you want to see the temples and are interested in the history and the culture, this is definitely for you.
Booking with Cambodia Travel Trails was truly one of the best experiences of my life. From the very start, Sophoan was the kindest and most professional, making sure to answer all of my questions, give me all the information with the most detail, and was always in communication. Everything was taken care of, from pick up at my hotel to a seamless and stress-free border crossing, and all I had to do was sit back and enjoy the amazing adventure. My tour guide Kim was the best tour guide one could ever ask for - the friendliest, the most knowledgable, and he went out of his way to make sure I was having the best time. Our driver, Pesith was also fantastic and an absolute pleasure to travel with. I did the one-night package, but I really wish I had chosen the two nights so I could spend more time with these lovely people in their amazing country. I will definitely return!
Visit Angkor Wat via Pattaya. For all people who do not like stress during holiday. This is a great organisation. Mr Kim is probably one of the most devoted tour guides. They even picked us up at our hotel in Pattaya. Strictly on time. The entire visa proces at the cambodian border was arranged. A thing quite hard if you don't know what to do ...especially at given temperatures. Its a very busy program for those who like to see everything....but its also possible to reduce the program so you can see whats most important. For me the bayon and angkor wat temples ...at sunset and sunrise are by far the most magnificent. Thanks guys. For an amazing holiday.
HAL Westerdam cruise ship at Laem Chabang port, Pattaya, Thailand to Bangkok, Angkor Wat of Cambodia and to Ho Chi Minh City port. We’re a group of 17 pax from HAL Westerdam and did a private tours of Bangkok and Angkor Wat by Cambodia Trails. It was awesome! Booking with Sophoan was easy... very prompt replies, answered my questions and very accommodating. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. To Sophoan and all our guides, thank you for an amazing and memorable trip!
Vacation in Cambodia! I had an incredible experience and was extremely lucky that I got to contact the Cambodia Travel Trails. Sophoan Rath is a well experienced and a well mannered person. The tour was meticulously planned and very well executed. We were picked up early in the morning from Bangkok airport and the well mannered driver Mr Monchai took us to the border where their representative took care of the visa formalities. Sith, a well mannered person was our driver throughout our trip. Our guide was well versed with the details and he was very respectful and knew his way around. The selection of the hotel was very good and our stay throughout the trip was very comfortable. The guide was knowledgeable about the cuisine around the place and suggested us different varieties. All in all to summarize I would like to say that the trip was one of the kind and I have suggested the company to friends of mine who were planning a trip. I would definetely recommend them for a very good experience in Cambodia.
Family tour of 8 people! My Family and I booked a 2 days Angkor wat/Siem Reap tour. It was very easy to book and communication was smooth. Picked up at the hotel early morning brought to the border and crossed without any problem. Our tour guide Kim was very knowledgeable and funny. We had fantastic time in Cambodia. 5 star rating to this travel and tours. You wouldn\'t regret it. My family and I are were very much happy with what we had experienced. Kudos to this travel group. Definitely worth every penny. Thank you for the hospitality and superb time.
Pattaya to Angkor Wat and Siem Reap! We wanted to do a very custom tour from Pattaya to Siem Reap. Our plan was to travel by private car and have two nights in Siem Reap and one day at Angkor Wat. It was difficult to find a tour that would meet our planing preferences. When I reached out to Sophoan Rath he quickly responded with a proposal that met our expectations. It was also helpful use his tour services to help cross the border which can be a bit intimidating. For us everything went exactly as we had hoped for and planned. Soph’s knowledge of the Angkor Wat is exceptional and would highly recommend using his tour company when exploring Cambodia!
Worth it! One DayTrip from Pattaya to Angkor Wat/Siem Reip and Return! I'm always a little weary of paying a deposit for a tour without the use of a credit card. But with all the great reviews, I gave it a chance, and I'm glad I did! Sophoan was our guide for our 1 day day tour of Angkor Wat and Siem Reip. Our group of 4 were picked up at a home address in Pattaya at around 2:30 am in a private van and headed to the border at Poi Pet. We were met by a guide to take us through the border process, and then handed over to another driver to take us to Angkor Wat. There we met Sophoan and he took us on a detailed trip of Angkor Wat. One nice touch is that he has his own, personal stories of living through the "killing fields" era and can tell you about his experience as a young boy in the work camps. Very interesting. With a one day trip, we didn't have too much time to spend in Siem Reip. If I did it again, I might try an over night trip as the driving time can be lengthy for one day, and I would like to spend more time in Siem Reip. Additionally, Thai immigration is trying to crack down on one day trips due to people abusing the 30 day visa by just crossing the border, and they gave us a little hassle when crossing back into Thailand. Never the less, as a one day cultural trip it was definitely worth it!
Great Travel Company for South East Asia! I traveled throughout South East Asia with a group of 43 and used Mr. Sohpoan Rath's travel company for most all of our travel in our four months in Thailand and Cambodia!
Here is a detailed review of each of our trips we used Mr. Sophoan Rath for:
November 11th Phnom Penh to Bangkok:
Everything went really smoothly and great! From Phnom Penh to the border on the bus and the minibus there was enough space for everyone and all of the bags! From the Border to Bangkok there was also enough space for everyone and all of the bags on each of the mini vans! Also having you there to translate and help direct us through the border was very helpful, and your english is very good! All in all was a very good trip!
January 6th Bangkok to Siem Reap:
This whole exchange was very smooth and very enjoyable for all. Being able to go all the way through from Bangkok to Siem Reap on the same bus and not have to carry our things through border control was very nice and we were all excited when we heard about this! On the bus and the mini van that we took all the way through there was enough space for everyone and all of the bags. Also having you there again to direct and translate was very helpful to the whole ordeal and making everything go smoothly! This trip went very well and was a very good experience!
February 6th Battambang to Kompong Thom:
This trip also went very smoothly! The pickup of the other 2 passengers in Siem Reap on the way went very well! There was enough space on the minibus for all of us and our bags. Also the driver spoke good enough english so that we could communicate a few things like stopping for lunch and things like that which was helpful! All in all this trip went well and was a good experience!
February 26th Kompong Thom to Siem Reap (4 to Battambang):
This trip went pretty well. The minivan from Kompong Thom to Siem Reap was a little tight for the 10 of us with all of our stuff, but for sure wasn't the worst by any means. After the 4 left in Siem Reap towards Battambang we had an easy time getting to the hostel we were staying at which was really good! The 4 that went to Battambang had a good experience and had no complaints!
March 4th Battambang to Siem Reap:
This trip went well as far as I am aware. I got no complaints or feedback of any sort. It was nice to have the extra car with the bus to haul all of the bags with everyone which was good! They made really good time from Battambang to which was really good! Then the whole ordeal with one of our guys leaving a lap top in the car went really well! Thanks so much again for helping us get that to us at the airport!
Excellent Travel Company! I was with a large group travelling from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Rath Sophoan (the owner) ensured that our travel was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. Our group has been traveling a lot over the past year in South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, and his company is by far the best we have worked with out of anywhere we have been in the world. I am so impressed by Mr. Rath Sophoan and his company and I would highly recommend this company for any kind of tour or activity you are looking to do.
This must have been a mistake. What an adventure! My wife booked this tour well in advance of our arrival. We are not big on organized tours, so the prospect of a personalized tour appealed to us. Based on the price I was a bit skeptical and did not know what to expect. From the initial booking throughout the entire process, Sophoan Rath was in constant contact with us. Providing amazingly detailed instructions/guidance on what needed doing and what we could expect. Even though communication was excellent, this being our first trip from the west I was still really really skeptical about this panning out.
I was an idiot and have never wasted so much time worrying for nothing. The day before our tour Sophoan Rath sent us an email listing each driver and contact for the entire day and for each leg of the journey. First up was Mr. Sai Chhon who was the unfortunate soul picking us up at 3am in Bangkok and getting us to the border by 6:30am. He was professional and courteous and it was a smooth ride from what I can remember. I dozed off so it couldn't be that bumpy of a ride.
When we got to the Cambodian border we were met by Mr. Sok, who helped us through customs on both sides and got us to the driver on the Cambodian side. He was AMAZING! On top of being a really nice guy, he was so efficient and made sure we knew exactly what we needed to do and where to go on both sides of the border. We were literally in and out of there in 30 minutes or less. I can not imagine having to navigate that in a short time frame without help.
Mr. Piseth drove us to Siem Reap from the border. He too was very kind and professional and he got us there safe and sound. The drivers may not speak much English, but I don't speak Thai or Cambodian and we still managed just fine.
Once we were safely to Siem Reap, we were met by our driver Tunna and our guide Khouch. They were very friendly and accommodating. Khouch wasted no time dropping knowledge on us of the area. They had cold bottled water for us and nothing but smiles. We headed off through town and to the ticket area for Angkor Wat. Got our tickets and Khouch gave us badge holders so we could look really cool. The whole way to the park this man dropped knowledge on us about everything going past us. It was amazing. We got to the park and had a nice breakfast. He gave us some advice on prices and buying things from all the vendors which was very useful.
Then came the utter ridiculousness that was the rest of our day. I still am in awe about how Khouch can possibly store soooo much knowledge in his head and I can't remember my own cell phone number. He took us all over the park, and I won't blither on about all the details. Sufficed to say, you could not have asked for a more awesome and engaging guide. He was patient as we stood around slack jawed taking pictures and even suggested good spots for perspective. We even caught him taking pics of his own, which just shows how passionate and engaged he is with what he does, especially with over 18 years of experience. He is an amazing man that is a wealth of knowledge, and we had the time of our lives. Sadly, life is impermanent, and we had to part ways after a fantastic day with him. And don't think we forgot Tunna, picking us up and giving us cold water and refreshing towels as we hopped about the park. Awesome cannot even describe it.
They got us back to the pick up point and we were again whisked off to the border and met by none other than Mr. Sok. He was just as friendly and helpful as he was at 6am. He must drink a lot of coffee or just love what he does, because he is great at it. Got us back across again quickly & efficiently, making sure we had all the documents we needed. I was kind of sad to part ways because he seemed like the kind of guy that would be fun to go out for beers with and shoot the breeze.
He got us sorted and on our way back to Bangkok and we were safely back at our hotel by 10pm. The whole day was an absolute delight. I cannot believe how affordable it was based on the insane effort and coordination involved to pull it off. We are so grateful to Cambodia Travel Trails and all their staff for giving us a truly unforgettable experience. If you are in Bangkok and want an adventure, you really need to look them up. They are worth every penny, and will earn your business every step of the way and then some. My only regret is that I cannot repay their kindness and the amazing memories they gave us of Angkor Wat. Give them a go, you won't regret it! Thanks a million Sophoan Rath and crew, you are aces in our book!
Don't Miss This Experience - You'll be in good hands with Sophoan Rath and his team!! Okay world traveler and adventurers, if you are short on time or want to make the most of your limited vacation time, this is the thing to do in order to see Anghor Wat. the World Heritage Site. I won't say much about the site itself, only that it is worth the effort to get there. We did it all in just less than 24 hours!!
First, I loved communicating with Sophoan Rath via email. One has to be careful because they are plenty of shady, even dangerous people out there. And you have to send him money to reserve the trip. But rest assured, he and his company are legitimate, honest and service oriented. What he and his company seemed to be on the emails is exactly what they were in person.
We were picked up at 2:30 AM at our Bangkok hotel, driven to PoiPet for the border crossing into Cambodia. We slept in the very comfortable van. There were just 3 of us, but you can have a group of 8 in the van.
DON'T JUST HAVE YOUR PASSPORTS, BE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR LANDING PAPERS FROM THAILAND, or WHEREVER YOU LANDED. We did not know we would need those white sheets. However, Sophoan's team members are really amazing, and got us through the border okay.
After crossing the border, we drove another couple hours to Siem Reap, enjoying how different it all was from Thailand. We were met by our tour guide, and he took us again in a very comfortable car to all the sites we could manage in one day. DO NOT MISS THIS BUCKET LIST TRIP. Our guide spoke English well enough to communicate, answer questions, and was accommodating. If you are an American, remember to be a gracious guest and respectful of the difference in culture and expression. These people are wonderfully warm and unspoiled.
I don't give 5 stars very often, but really this was worth that rating. Sophoan Rath and his team are first rate. It is all so very well organized between those in Thailand and those in Cambodia, each doing their job superbly. We just loved and appreciated them so much.
There is no better tour-guide to experience Cambodia! Mr Sophan Rath (Poan) of Cambodia Travel Trails was our tour-guide when we first visited Siem Reap and Angkor for the first time in 2009.
Since then Poan has been our guide whenever we are touring Cambodia.
Poan has organised for us - apart from two visits to Siem Reap and to Angkor - a sightseeing tour of Phnom Penh in 2010, overland trips by car to Kampot and Kep in 2011, to Koh Kong and to the Cardamon Mountains in 2012 and to Mondulkiri and Sen Monorem in 2013.
Thanks to Poan and his excellent English we have become quite familiar not only with Cambodia's ancient and immediate past history but also with it's present day situation.
We now can claim to know Cambodia better than any average tourist. With Poan's organising-talent we always felt safe and well looked after.
oan has throughout and without exception proven to be reliable, sincere, discreet, unassuming, attentive and familiar with western customs .
He was always dedicated to his duties as an accredited cambodian tour-guide. That is why we have chosen him as our guide and we will ask him to be our guide again in future. Tessy & Hermann from Aachen, Germany
Sophoan is a gem. If you, like me were nervous about arranging a trip half way around the world with someone you never met, no need to worry here. Mr Rath planned the trip thoroughly, provided an excellent hotel, was timely, informative and flexible. We were honored to have Sophoan and his lovely wife join us for a dinner and a show on our last night in Siem Reap. More than a guide, Mr Rath is a thoughful and enjoyable person. Jim and Joan.

Highly Recommended! If you are looking for a great official tour guide...
Highly Recommended! If you are looking for a great official tour guide that will help you organise your entire trip to Cambodia, or simply require an honest, friendly and knowledgeable guide who will tell you everything you want to know about Angkor Wat and will look after you like royalty - I would have no hesitation in recommending Sophoan as he made Cambodia the highlight of our SE Asia holiday.
After sending emails to many of the companies on Trip Advisor that offered tours and transfer services to Siem Reap from Bangkok; Cambodia Travel Trails/Angkor Wat Services was the only company that always responded to my many questions promptly. Their swift response and flexibility of travel arrangements gave me great confidence to commit to booking our tour of Angkor Wat together with transfer services from Bangkok to Siem Reap and then from Siem Reap to Koh Chang.
As planned, we were picked up from our Bangkok hotel at 5.00am and driven to the border where we were escorted across by members of their team. We experienced no delays, scams or having to pay any ‘extra’ fees as we had read so much about at this land border. By 11.30am we were at our hotel in Siem Reap. The following morning we were met a 5.00am by our tour guide Sophoan Rath.
Sophoan Rath runs both Cambodia Travel Trails and Angkor Wat Services and was the perfect guide. He was polite, honest, friendly and had in-depth knowledge of the Angkor Wat complex and always making sure that we were comfortable (he kept a boot full of chilled drinking water). We had a full day tour planned from sunrise to sunset and by the end of it felt as though we had seen more amazing sights in that day than in our entire holiday.
Our transfer from Siem Reap to Koh Chang was equally as smooth as the Bangkok transfer, sailing through the border with no hold ups.
If you want to experience Angkor Wat but are somewhat daunted by the dubious border crossing, I would highly recommend the services of Sophoan via either of his companies. Again, if you are just looking for a great official tour guide that will tell you everything you need to know about Angkor Wat or the recent history of I would have no hesitation in recommending Sophoan.
