Tour Name: CYCLING ANGKOR FULL DAY TOUR
Tour Duration: 1 Day
Tour Price: $61 per person (Guaranteed to depart with minimum 02 people)
Tour Operation: Everyday

For visiting Angkor temples, we do not recommend to do in half day as it is not worth paying the full day Angkor pass USD20. There is no half day Angkor pass available. One more reason, tourists do not have enough time to learn about the history of each temple plus the 25km cycling. Therefore, we recommend to do full day cycling tour.
However, if you have only half day available, please take our half day Cambodia Countryside Half Day Bike Tour or Tonle Sap Great Lake Half Day Bike Tour

Starting point: pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap where the mountain bikes have been prepared. Our cycling guide will brief on the tour.
Destination: Siem Reap, Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo, Tommanon, Chaosay Tevoda, Victory Gate, Prasat Suprot, Terrace of Elephant, Terrace of Leper King, Phimean Akas, Location of Royal Place, Baphoun, Bayon, South Gate of Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat and back to Siem Reap.
Cycling distend and condition: approximately 25 km mostly on back road and off roads. It's worth taking sometimes cycling small road along east side of Siem Reap River to see lives of village before reaching to the the main road. Keep single line on the right hand side of the road, not to run into busy tracffic.
At 8am, depart cycling from the hotel on the main road to ticket booth where the tickets are to be bough. After the completion of the Angkor passes, continue cycling through the shady road to Kravan temple, Banteay Kdei, and stop at the famous Ta Phrom for 45 minutes. Ta Prohm is one of the most popular temples of the Angkor Complex. This temple was built in the memory of the King Jayavarman VII’s mother. When found by the French conservators at the end of the 9th century, they deliberately left this temple in the same condition as it was discovered, overgrown by strangler fig and silk-cotton trees, giving the temple a mystical and romantic appeal.

Continue the cycling through small circuit passing Ta Keo templeChao Say Tevoda, Tommanon before reaching to Angkor Thom city, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by an 8 m high wall; each side of the city is 3 kilometers long. It draws a perfect square you access this town through 5 gates, 4 of them represent the cardinal points and the 5th one the Victory Gate was the one leading directly to the Royal Palace Area.

There you will see, Terrace of Leper KingTerrace of Elephant, Baphoun, Phimean Akas. Stop at Bayon temple for 45 minutes visit. This temple lies exactly in the center of the city. The particularity of this monument is the 54 towers representing the 54 provinces of the then Great Khmer Empire. Each tower has 4 faces. This is the only temple in Cambodia depicting scenes of the everyday life at the time of the empire.

Afterward, we cycle to Angkor Wat to finish the small circuit. Stop at South Gate of Angkor Thom, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and 4 giant faces. On each side is a row of 54 gods or demons holding the sacred Naga Snakes.
Angkor Wat- The magnificent Angkor Wat Temple was built by Suryavarman II in early 12th century. Angkor Wat is constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing the mount Merou, home of the gods. Considered
as the masterpiece of the Khmer architecture, this Vishnuite temple is the King’s funerary temple that is why the temple is oriented to the west. Inside the temple the walls are covered by carvings and bas-reliefs depicting the Hindu mythology and the wars Suryavarman II made during his reign. As well Angkor Wat is well known for the 1800 Apsaras dancers decorating the all temple. But like most say, it takes a life time to discover all the wonders of this temple.

Cycle to hotel after watching sunset over Angkor Wat.
Tour Ends.

Sophoan Rath to najlepszy przewodnik jakiego spotkałam w swoich podróżach. Polecam go z całego serca. Iwona J. z Warszawy.
